Punjab is the second team after Mumbai to be out of the playoff race. At the same time, RCB kept the playoff hopes alive with the win.

Rousseau scored the second half-century of his IPL career in 21 balls. However, after scoring his half-century, he immediately lost his wicket. Rousseau played an inning of 61 runs in 27 balls with the help of nine fours and three sixes. Fans had high expectations from Shashank Singh, but he failed to score 37 runs in 19 balls with the help of four fours and two sixes.
