Harshit Rana, Sai Sudarshan and Jitesh Sharma to be the part of Team India during Zimbabwe tour!

The storm that hit Barbados after the T20 World Cup victory has also affected India’s tour of Zimbabwe. It is not possible for the 3 players selected from this team to reach here on time, due to which 3 other players have been included in the Indian team. Due to the storm that hit Barbados on Monday, Team India has not been able to return as scheduled. They will reach New Delhi on Wednesday evening, while India has to start the 5-match T20 series in Zimbabwe from July 6.

Keeping this in mind, the Indian selectors have given place to Sai Sudarshan, Jitesh Sharma and Harshit Rana in the team. These three players have got a place for the first two matches of the series. After this, the 3 players selected from the winning team of T20 World Cup 2024 will also reach Zimbabwe and they will be available for selection in the remaining 3 matches of the series.

India won the T20 World Cup title on Saturday. Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, Team India was successful in winning this title after 17 years. This is his second World Cup title in this format. Shivam Dubey, Sanju Samson and Yashasvi Jaiswal were also part of this 15-member team. Shivam Dubey got a chance to play all the matches here, whereas Samson and Jaiswal could not get a place in any match.

But these three players are part of the future plans of the Indian team and due to this they have got a place in the team on the Zimbabwe tour also. Now anyway, after winning the title of T20 World Cup 2024, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja have announced their retirement from this format.
