The first match of the 3-match series will be played at the Pallekele International Stadium from 7:00 pm Indian time. Before the T20 series, Suryakumar Yadav addressed the media on Friday. During this, Surya praised Riyan Parag wholeheartedly. Riyan Parag is the first cricketer from Assam to make it to Team India. Suryakumar Yadav described Parag as the X factor in the India vs Sri Lanka series. Surya said that Riyan Parag is our game-changer player.
Suryakumar Yadav said in the press conference, ‘Riyan Parag is the X factor. He is a game-changer player for us. He can turn the tide of the match on his own. Parag recently made his international cricket debut on the Zimbabwe tour. He was given a place in the T20 team. Parag has been selected in both the T20 and ODI teams on the Sri Lanka tour. Parag played 3 T20 matches on the Zimbabwe tour in which he could score only 24 runs in 2 innings.

The Indian team has gone on the Sri Lanka tour with a new coach and new captain. Gautam Gambhir has been appointed as the new head coach of Team India. This is Gambhir’s first assignment with Team India. He has been made the head coach of Team India in place of Rahul Dravid. Surya will also captain the team for the first time in the T20 series. Suryakumar Yadav said about Gautam Gambhir that he has a special relationship with Gauti.
