Salil Ankola’s mother’s name is Mala Ashok Ankola. 77-year-old Mala Ashok Ankola used to live in the Prabhat Road area located in Deccan Gymkhana, Pune. When the door of his room remained closed for a long time, the people working in his house opened the door and saw the elderly Mala lying on the bed soaked in blood, whose throat was slit with a sharp weapon. After which his family also reached the spot. They immediately admitted him to a private hospital for treatment but he died before that. The doctor informed his family about this. At present, this case is of murder or suicide, which the police are now investigating further.

Talking about the career of cricketer Salil Ankola, he has played only one Test and 20 ODIs for India. He was a right-arm fast bowler.
