Fans are going to see many big changes in the three-match T20 series between India and Bangladesh starting on Sunday. Suryakumar Yadav has given many hints on the eve of the match. India’s wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson will be part of the playing XI during the T20 series against Bangladesh and will be seen in a new role in the Suryakumar Yadav-led team. Suryakumar Yadav has said that Sanju Samson will open the innings with Abhishek Sharma in the T20 series.
Sanju Samson, who made his debut against Zimbabwe in 2015, has not been a regular member of the team in the last nine years. He has not got consistent opportunities, due to which his performance has been affected. India’s T20 captain Suryakumar said on the eve of the series opener in Gwalior, “Sanju Samson will play and open the innings with Abhishek Sharma.”
Sanju Samson has played 30 T20 matches for India, opening the innings five times. However, runs have not come off Samson’s bat at the top order. However, he scored a strong 77 against Ireland in 2022. Sanju Samson has a golden opportunity to cement his place in the T20 team in the three-match T20 series against Bangladesh. The next edition of the T20 World Cup will be played after two years and Samson would like to cement his place in the team by performing well as an opener in this series.
