A big update has come out regarding the Champions Trophy. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has approved the hybrid model for this tournament. According to several reports, an agreement has been reached between the Pakistan Cricket Board [PCB] and the Board of Control for Cricket in India [BCCI].
In addition, both parties have also agreed that Pakistan does not need to travel to India during the T20 World Cup 2026, as the league games are reportedly expected to take place in Colombo. Although no compensation has been given to the PCB, they will get a chance to host a women’s ICC tournament after 2027.
