Moscow bomb blast: Russian general Igor Kirillov killed on spot!

Russian Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, the chief of nuclear security forces, has been murdered in the Russian capital Moscow. Igor Kirillov lost his life in the bomb blast. There has been a stir in Moscow ever since the incident came to light. Russian agencies have started investigating the incident. This explosion took place close to the Kremlin.

The bomb was hidden in the scooter

Russia’s Investigative Committee said the bomb was hidden in an electric scooter. A senior Russian general in charge of nuclear security forces lost his life in a bomb blast on Tuesday. Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov was posted as the chief of Russia’s nuclear, biological and chemical security forces.

According to Russian agencies, General Igor Kirillov was murdered outside an apartment building on Ryazansky Prospekt. This place lies about seven kilometers south-east of the Kremlin. Igor Kirillov’s partner also lost his life in the bomb blast.

Two dead bodies visible in the photo

Photos posted on Russian Telegram channels showed a collapsed entrance to a building littered with debris and two bodies lying in blood-stained snow. The investigation into the bomb blast has started. Russia’s Radioactive, Chemical and Biological Defense Forces are also known as RKhBZ.

Britain has banned Kirillov

On Monday, Ukrainian prosecutors charged Kirillov in absentia over the alleged use of chemical weapons banned in Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine said, according to the Kyiv Independent. But Russia denied these allegations. Britain imposed sanctions on Kirillov and nuclear security forces in October over multiple reports of their use of the poisonous choking agent chloropicrin as riot control agents and on the battlefield.
