Stampede at Tirupati Balaji Temple: 7 Devotees Dead, Many Injured

7 devotees died due to a stampede in the Tirupati Balaji temple of Andhra Pradesh. A stampede occurred at Vishnu Nivasam in Tirupati during the distribution of tokens in Vaikuntha Dwar Sarva Darshan. The police reached the spot and took stock of the situation. Along with this, the injured are being taken to the hospital for treatment.

According to the information given by the CM Office, CM N Chandrababu Naidu spoke to the officials over the phone about the treatment being given to the injured in the incident. Along with this, CM Chandrababu Naidu has ordered the high officials to go to the spot and do relief work so that the injured can get better treatment.

Former CM Reddy expressed grief

Former Chief Minister and YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed grief over the death of four devotees in the stampede while taking tokens for darshan at Tirumala Srivari Vaikuntha Dwar near Vishnu Nivasam in Tirupati and said that he is very saddened by the death of four people in this incident. The incident occurred when a large number of devotees had gathered to collect tokens. He expressed deep condolences to the families of the deceased and urged the government to ensure the best medical care for the injured.

Former CM Reddy described the loss of life and property while collecting tokens for Vaikuntha Ekadasi darshan as extremely tragic and called for immediate and prompt measures to restore order at the location. He also wished speedy recovery to the injured devotees undergoing treatment in hospitals.

CM Naidu to visit the site tomorrow

According to information, CM Naidu will visit Tirupati tomorrow morning to meet the injured and also take stock of the situation.
