A devastating fire broke out early on Friday morning at the Atlantis building in Rajkot, Gujarat, leaving three people dead and one injured. The fire reportedly started after a short circuit, sending shockwaves through the area as residents were caught off guard.
Firefighters from Rajkot Fire and Emergency Services quickly arrived at the scene and launched a rescue operation. They worked tirelessly to douse the flames and bring the situation under control. Thankfully, all other residents of the building were safely evacuated before the fire escalated further.
Superintendent of Police (SP), BJ Chaudhary, spoke to the media, confirming the tragic loss of life and providing details on the situation. “Three people have unfortunately lost their lives, and one individual who was injured has been rushed to the hospital for treatment,” Chaudhary said. “We have successfully evacuated all the residents from the building, and the fire has been brought under control.”
Initial investigations suggest that the fire may have been caused by an electrical short circuit, but further inquiries are ongoing to determine the exact cause.
The building, which houses several families, has been the site of immense tragedy today, but local authorities are working swiftly to ensure that all affected individuals receive the support they need.
