Pakistan selection committee chief Inzamam has termed fast-bowler Naseem Shah’s exclusion from the World Cup squad as a big loss for Pakistan. According to the report of ESPN, Inzamam said about Naseem,
Inzamam said about Naseem, “Naseem was injured, he was our main bowler and it was unfortunate.” “Hasnain has an ankle injury and he is injured and Ihsanullah is also injured. If you talk about Hasan Ali’s LPL or other performances, he has performed better than other players. He is an experienced bowler who has played big mega events for Pakistan and performed well in them. And when Naseem was out, we needed someone who could bowl with the new ball. He bowls well with both the old and new balls and is a team man. His presence energizes the team.”
Regarding Naseem’s injury, Inzamam said, “Unfortunately, as per the report of our doctors, we have heard that Naseem will be out for a long time apart from the World Cup. At the moment, he is the best bowler in the world in my view. It is a loss for Pakistan and we hope he gets fit soon.”
