OYO Room Booking Takes Unexpected Turn as Married Woman and Young Man Meet After 7 Hours

A young man and a girl were found dead on Friday in the OYO Hotel in Jafrabad, Delhi. The deceased were identified as Sohrab, a resident of Meerut, and Ayesha, a resident of Delhi. According to the report of The New Indian Express, Ayesha was married and had two children aged 9 and 4. Ayesha’s husband’s name is Mohammad Gulfam he sells gym protein supplements.

According to a senior police officer, the police had received a PCR call about two dead bodies inside a room of the OYO hotel located near Maujpur metro station.

The officer said, “When the police reached the spot, it was found that Sohrab and Ayesha had checked in to the OYO hotel at 1:02 PM and had booked the room for 4 hours. When he did not come out, the hotel staff knocked at the door at around 07:45 PM. When there was no response from inside the room, the hotel staff called the beat constable.”

According to media reports, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northeast) Joy Tirkey said, “When the room was opened in the presence of police, Sohrab’s body was found hanging from the ceiling fan with a nylon rope and Ayesha was lying dead on the bed.”

DCP said, “There were some injury marks on Ayesha’s neck.” He said that a half-page handwritten suicide note was found on the bed next to Ayesha, in which it was claimed that both of them were in love with each other. And they had decided to end their lives together.

DCP said, “Immediately after the murder, Delhi Police’s crime team and FSL team were called to investigate the incident site. CCTV footage of the reception and staircase is being examined. Ayesha’s husband is being interrogated and further action will be taken after post-mortem.”
