Sri Lanka faces the challenge of Bangladesh in the 38th match of the World Cup. The match between the two teams is being held at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan won the toss and decided to bowl. Sri Lanka must win this match at any cost to stay in the semi-final race. They have four points in seven games. After Samarawickrama was dismissed, he came into the field to face the next ball within the allotted time. According to the rules, Mathews had to reach the crease within two minutes and tackle the ball within three minutes. He failed to do so. Mathews is timed out. Mathews could have got a chance to play if the Bangladesh team withdrew the appeal, but Shakib Al Hasan did not.
