Bollywood Filmmaker Rajkumar Kohli Passes Away

Filmmaker Rajkumar Kohli has passed away at the age of 93. He died of a heart attack at 8 am on Friday. He was found dead in the bathroom of his home. The filmmaker was known for helming films like Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahaan, Naagin, Badle Ki Aag, and Pati Patni aur Tawaif. He was last scene in Salman Khan’s Prem Ratan dhan payo.

Rajkumar Kohli was an Indian film director He was famous for directing several popular Bollywood films such as the 1966 Dulla Bhatti and the 1970s Lootera starring. He was 93 years old. The cause of his death is said to be heart attack. It is reported that he had gone to take a bath but did not come out for a long time. When the door was somehow opened, he was found lying unconscious on the ground. But he died before being taken to the hospital. 

His son Armaan Kohli’s friend, publicist Vijay Grover confirmed the news to saying, “Raj ji passed away this morning. He had gone for a bath at 8 am and did not come out for a long time. So Armaan rushed, broke the bathroom door to check and found that Raj ji had had fallen unconscious. He had suffered a cardiac arrest. His funeral will be carried out in the evening today.” 

Rajkumar was one of the popular directors of the 1970s and 1980s, frequently collaborated with the top stars of the era such as Sanjeev Kumar, Sunil Dutt, Dharmendra, Jeetendra, Shatrughan Sinha and Reena Roy among others, on many films.His last rites will be held at 5.30 pm at Santacruz crematorium. Rajkumar’s son Armaan Kohli had made his debut as a leading actor with his father’s movie Virodhi. Rajkumar Kohli directed his son again in Aulad Ke Dushman and Qahar . But his Bollywood career failed to take off.
