Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra got permanently expelled from the Lok Sabha. This expelletion happened for the alleged cash for query case on Friday, December 8. According to the Ethics Committee report , MP Mahua Moitra’s suspension was tabled in the Lower House and then that was adopted by a voice vote. The Lok Sabha witnessed a huge heated debate while the case was going on but Mahua Moitra was not allowed to speak there.

Though Mahua Moitra was not allowed to speak when the ethics committee tabled their report. The allegations are that she the TMC MP, Mahua Moitra took cash to ask questions in parliament. Speaker Om Birla not allowed Moitra to speak. Congress MP Manish Tiwari, said, ‘Today we are sitting as a court to judge our colleague, this is not a parliament.’
The members of parliament were given only two hours to read the 104-page report about the case and a 30-minute discussion was scheduled for 3 pm today. The Opposition MPs questioned the ethics committee for not cross examining Darshan Hiranandani. They debated on how parliamentarians were pronouncing judgement against a fellow parliamentarian.
While coming out of parliament, Mahua Moitra said “Since I was not allowed to speak inside parliament, I am taking this opportunity to speak outside it. I thank my INDIA alliance colleagues. As the hearing of the ethics committee demonstrates, all of us MPs are conveyor belts to get questions from the people to the parliament. If the Modi government hopes that by shutting me up it can forget the Adani issue, then it is mistaken”
Before arriving at the Parliament, PM Mahua Moitra said, now the people will see the battle of Mahabharata. She said “Mother Durga has arrived, we will see. These people who have started snatching clothes will now see the battle of Mahabharata.”
