India asks Pakistan to extradite the Terrorist Hafiz Saeed but Pakistan denied it?!
Hafiz Saeed is the co-founder of the United Nations-listed terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba, what is known as LeT too. He was the main accused behind the 2611 terror attacks in Mumbai. Recently, an extradition request has been sent from New Delhi to Islamabad. But how did Pakistan react to this?
Well, In response to India’s extradition request for Hafiz Saeed, Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry refused to comment. They have said, “The question is based on speculative reporting. We would not like to comment on such reports. The person in question is wanted in numerous cases in India. He is also a UN-proscribed terrorist.”
The Indian Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Arindam Bagchi has said, “We have conveyed a request. along with relevant supporting documents to the Government of Pakistan to extradite him to extradite him to India to face trial in a particular case.”

This is not the first time that India has requested Pakistan to hand over this terrorist. However, disagreement and complications have always come between the two countries. But recent reports say that, in April of 2022, Syed was sentenced to 31 years in prison by Pakistani law. But surprisingly, Hafeez’s son Talha Saeed is expected to contest polls from the National Assembly constituency NA-127 from Lahore.
