‘Lord Ram Was Non-Vegetarian’: NCP Leader’s Remark Sparks Row. BJP wants to File Police Complaint!!

BJP Haryana’s social media head Arun Yadav posted a video of Jitendra Awhad. Jitendra Awhad made an controversial comment about lord Ram. But that offended other bjp leaders. They demanded the immediate arrest of the NCP leader by the Maharashtra government.

Lord Ram consumed meat? Said Jitendra Awhad!

Dr Jitendra Awhad is a leader of the Sharad Pawar-led NCP. Recently he has made controversy by saying that Lord Ram consumed meat as he was “kshatriya”. The video is shared by Arun Yadav. In that video, BJP Haryana’s social media head Jitendra  is stating loudly and clearly, that, as a Kshatriya, Lord Ram obviously had consumed meat because there was a obviously a huge lack of vegetarian food in the forest during his exile period. 

“Lord Ram was not a vegetarian, he was a non-vegetarian. Where would a person living in the forest for 14 years go to find vegetarian food? Is it correct or not?” he said these controversial comment during an event in Shirdi, Maharashtra.

But this made a huge impact on other leaders. BJP leaders reacted profusely and called for immediate action against him. Yadav posted the video of Awhad and demanded that  immediate arrest should be done for this NCP leader by the Maharashtra government.

“I did not bring the idea, It’s written in the Valmiki Ramayana”, he said!

But later, the leader Jitendra Awhad ‘expressed regret’ for such comments on lord Rama and he has also said that he did not want to hurt anyone’s sentiments. “I express regret. I did not want to hurt anyone’s sentiments,” Awhad said.

He also said that, “I did not bring the idea [of Lord Ram being non-vegetarian] from my home. It’s written in the Valmiki Ramayana. The authentic version of 1891, printed in Calcutta and IIT Kanpur, has worked a lot, and I put everything in front of the public. I have not done this. Whatever was written in 1891, I did not write it.”
