Shreyas Iyer IPL Comeback Uncertain After Injury in Ranji Trophy !!

According to the report of ESPNcricinfo, Shreyas Iyer has been ruled out of the quarterfinal match in the Ranji Trophy due to a back spasm. Iyer was kept out of the Indian team for the remainder of the Test series against England on “precautionary grounds” due to a back problem that he complained of. That problem is dooming his performance in the Ranji Trophy as well. In the previous match, Sreyash again complained about his back pain after batting for 30 minutes. The Mumbai team management then decided that he needed rest to recover from this injury. Now the Mumbai team is in a dire situation after losing another good player. The team has already suffered a big blow even before the quarter-finals against Baroda to be held on 23 February. Another star player, Shivam Dubey will also not play in the quarter-finals due to a side strain.

Shreyash Could not perform well against England

This year, Shreyas Iyer played in one round of the Ranji Trophy. He was playing in the Test series against England. He was selected in the squad for the first two Test matches against England. But he was not able to perform well in the first two Test matches against England. He scored 27, 29, 35, and 13 in the first two Test matches. After this, he was dropped from the rest of the test matches.

Shreyash Can return in IPL 2024

Shreyash experienced back spasms immediately after the second Test. He reported this to the team but was cleared for selection for India. Iyer could not play for Team India last year also due to injury. He was recovering during the IPL as well. Now, Iyer has back problems again. He has at most one month left to become fit to play in IPL 2024. Iyer plays for Kolkata Knight Right Riders. Last season, Nitish Rana took charge in his absence.
