Trump got disqualified from Illinois ballot!

Illinois state judge has prohibited donald trump from participating in the state’s Republican presidential primary on Thursday. Although, the judge has postponed the implementation of her decision because of the likelihood of the former US president filing an appeal. Trump has “falsely swore” that he was “legally qualified” for the office. But the Colorado Supreme Court had already declared that the former president “had been found to engage in insurrection.”

Donald Trump disqualified from Illinois primary ballot!

Trump already has been removed from state ballots in Colorado and Maine because of his disqualification under Section 3 of the Constitution’s 14th Amendment. Both rulings are pending, meanwhile trump has filed an appeal. Porter stated that she was delaying her decision because of his appeal to the Illinois appellate courts and they were waiting for a possible US supreme court decision. Judge Tracie Porter made her ruling based on the case law surrounding the Colorado Supreme Court’s 4-3 decision in December which had removed Trump from that state’s ballot. It was done based on the “insurrection clause” of the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Although the U.S. Supreme Court is reviewing the Colorado decision.

Today, an activist Democrat judge in Illinois summarily overruled the state’s Board of Elections and contradicted earlier decisions from dozens of other state and federal jurisdictions,” Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung has said in a statement. He also said, “This is an unconstitutional ruling that we will quickly appeal. In the meantime, President Trump remains on the Illinois ballot, is dominating the polls and will Make America Great Again!”

“This is a historic victory,” said Ron Fein, who is the legal director of Free Speech For People. He has also said in a statement following Porter’s ruling, “Every court or official that has addressed the merits of Trump’s constitutional eligibility has found that he engaged in insurrection after taking the oath of office and is therefore disqualified from the presidency.”
