Jonny Bairstow was out after scoring 42 runs in 29 balls. Prabhasimran played an inning of 19 runs in 7 balls. Mayank Yadav took the third wicket in the match by dismissing Jitesh Sharma. Mayank pushed Punjab on the backfoot by taking three wickets. After this, Mohsin Khan showed Shikhar Dhawan and Sam Curran the way to the pavilion on consecutive balls. Captain Shikhar Dhawan returned to the pavilion after scoring 70 runs in 50 balls. Liam Livingstone returned unbeaten after scoring 28 runs in 17 balls. Shanshak Singh scored 9 runs in 7 balls.
