Howrah-Mumbai Mail collides with goods train, 20 coaches damaged; 2 killed and many injured

Again another major train accident has occurred near Badabambu railway station of Chakradharpur railway division. Howrah-Mumbai Mail collided with a goods train. So far, two deaths have been reported in this accident. While many passengers have been seriously injured.

According to the information, the goods train named E/N/JBCT had derailed near pole number 299/3 between Barabambu and Rajkharsawan stations.The engine of Howrah-Mumbai Mail coming at high speed from this middle up railway line collided with the compartment of the derailed goods train. Due to which about 20 coaches of Mumbai Mail including engine, AC and sleeper got derailed and some coaches ran over each other.

the incident occurred around 3.45 am

A goods train tarpaulin was also seen on the engine driver’s windshield of the Mumbai Mail Express train at the spot. Due to which it seems that the driver of the express would not have seen anything ahead during the incident. This incident happened on Tuesday morning at 3:45 am.

2 passengers stuck in toilet died

According to the information received so far in this incident, the bodies of two passengers of Mumbai Mail are stuck in the toilet of the AC coach. Apart from this, some passengers may also be stranded in the AC coach. The number of injured is not clear, but the injured are being sent to Chakradharpur Railway Hospital.

Railways released helpline number

On receiving information about the incident, a hooter was sounded from the train control room Chakradharpur and an accidental relief van was sent to the incident site. At the same time, the injured from the incident site were sent to Chakradharpur Railway Hospital for treatment through ambulance.
