Actor Allu Arjun has got a big relief from the court in the theater stampede case. The High Court has granted bail to Pushpa fame actor Allu Arjun. Earlier, a Telangana court had reserved the decision on the application of Telugu actor Allu Arjun in the case of the death of a woman in a stampede in a Hyderabad theater during the screening of ‘Pushpa-2’.
Actor Allu Arjun’s lawyer Ashok Reddy said that Allu Arjun has been granted bail with conditions. He will have to appear at the police station from Sunday to Sunday. The court granted bail for culpable homicide. Apart from this, Allu Arjun will have to present two sureties of Rs 50,000 each. The petition to cancel the FIR is pending in the High Court. We will take steps to pursue it in the High Court.
Stampede happened on December 4
The stampede incident happened at Hyderabad’s Sandhya theatre on December 4 when a stampede-like situation arose among the fans who had gathered to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun during the screening of ‘Pushpa-2’, in which a 35-year-old woman died and her eight-year-old son was injured.
After the incident, the city police registered a case against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management under various sections of the Indian Justice Code at Chikkadpally police station based on a complaint received from the family of the deceased woman.
