I am deeply saddened to inform you that we have lost our beloved Poonam to cervical cancer. Every living form that ever came in contact with her was met with pure love and kindness. In this time of grief, we would request for privacy while we remember her fondly for all that we shared.”

Co-star Vineet claimed that her Instagram account was hacked!

Vineet Kakkar, her co-actor, said, “I feel that this news is fake. I know Poonam, she is a strong woman. I spent two weeks with him on the show ‘Locked Up’. I know his personality. She is a very strong woman.” Vineet Kakkar also shared with the media that he met her very recently.

They met during the premiere of Kangana Ranaut’s film ‘Dhaakad’ and recently they met at the ‘Locked Up’ director’s birthday party also. According to him, this happened just three or four months ago. He said, “We partied together and I never realized that he was suffering from any serious illness. She looked healthy and was in a good mood.”

Vineet believes that this is fake news. He said, “This is fake news and within a few days you will know that what I have said is true. Her phone is switched off, maybe someone has hacked his Instagram account or his manager’s account. Anything can happen. I can’t believe this news is true. Poonam, wherever you are, please come quickly and clarify the situation for yourself.”
