The wait is over now. Salman Khan’s much-awaited film Tiger 3 is going to release tonight. Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s film Tiger 3 is going to release on Sunday, November 12. During the Diwali season, Bhaijaan gave a gift to the audience, Salman is a little more conscious about the release of the film on this special day. But there’s a rumour that Tiger 3 is going to be banned! What’s going on? Well, there is a strong buzz that Tiger 3 may not be released in Qatar and Oman.
Both Salman and Katrina have a strong fan base in the South East Asian countries like UAE, Qatar, and Oman. It is expected that a lot of overseas collections will come from these territories. According to rumours, the character of Emraan Hashmi shows him as the leader of a global terrorist organisation with association with these Islamic countries. There is no official confirmation on the same but it can well be true as previously Akshay Kumar’s Samrat Prithviraj was also banned in Kuwait and Oman.
Since last night, there have been reports that Tiger 3 has been banned in Oman and Qatar.
But it is not true. The authorities of both Middle Eastern countries have expressed concern about the film’s content. But they are yet to take a final call. Tiger 3 can still be released in these territories if both agree to clear the film. As per the strategy devised by Yash Raj Films (YRF), the shows of Tiger 3 in Oman, Qatar will begin on November 11 from 6:30 pm onwards.
When asked about their reservations, the source said, “They are apprehensions about the India-Pakistan angle and the way Tiger takes on the terrorists. One can argue that even in the past, several Hindi films have tackled these themes, more recently in Pathaan and Gadar 2. The Oman and Qatar authorities fear that the mood is such that one never knows how one might react to the content of the film. Hence, they are in two minds. The final decision will be taken hopefully today, after which Tiger 3 can be released successfully in these countries.”
