“I Had Crush On Shah Rukh Khan,” Reveals The ‘Jawaan’ Actress Priyamani

Jawan, the blockbuster action thriller film starring SRK, co-written and directed by Atlee as his first Hindi film. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan in a dual role as father and son doppelgängers who team up to rectify corruption in society. The film set several box-office opening weekend and first-week records for a Hindi film, overtaking those set by Khan’s previous release Pathaan (2023). Grossing over ₹1,052.14 crore (US$130 million).

‘The Family Man’ fame actress Priyamani was recently seen in Shahrukh Khan’s blockbuster film ‘Jawaan‘. Priyanani won the hearts of the audience with her strong acting. Recently in an interview, Priyamani was asked about Shahrukh Khan’s reaction when they met each other on the sets of Jawan after ten years. To this, the actress replied, ‘He just looked at me and gave me a big smile and also hugged me tightly and said thank you very much for being a part of this film.’ She shared the heartwarming emotions she shared with SRK and how she had a huge crush on her superstar colleague.

When she was asked if she did the film for a  chance to work with Atlee or the opportunity to reunite with SRK that attracted her to Jawan she replied, “Both. Mainly, it was the story that worked for me. And then the film being an Atlee directorial, acting with Shah Rukh Khan was the icing on the cake.” Priyamani also shared her experience with the Zinda Banda song, “…but he called girls from all over Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Kerala. The girls were enamored looking at Shah Rukh sir and me because they looked up to me a lot.” 

As per the interview, they had a separate place for rehearsals on the set and ATLEE managed a separate place for rehearsal. Once they were done, all used to come onto the set first Then they were placed categorically and the boy, who was SRK’s stand-in, was one of the choreographer’s assistants. She also said that “SRK gives his 200 percent and makes every dance look like a cakewalk.”
