Sonakshi Sinha Just Got Married to Zaheer Iqbal!

Hey fam, stop everything! Bollywood’s very own diva, Sonakshi Sinha, just tied the knot with her long-time boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal, and we are living for it! In a super intimate ceremony at her new apartment, 81 Aureate in Mumbai, Sonakshi and Zaheer shared the happy news with a joint post on Instagram. They treated us to some dreamy pictures from their civil wedding, and let’s just say, it’s the wedding of the year!

“Sonakshi weds Zaheer. 23.06.2024.” she wrote!

Sonakshi looked absolutely stunning in a white saree, keeping her makeup and jewelry minimal and wearing flowers in her hair. Zaheer matched her vibe perfectly in a white kurta. In one adorable pic, Zaheer can be seen kissing Sonakshi’s hand. Another heartwarming snap features Sonakshi with her dad, Shatrughan Sinha, while Zaheer signs the marriage papers. The final shot? The newlyweds posing, looking totally in love. Sharing the pics, Sonakshi penned a beautiful note: “On this very day, seven years back (23.06.2017) in each other’s eyes, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it. Today that love has guided us through all the challenges and triumphs… leading up to this moment… where with the blessings of both our families and both our gods… we are now man and wife. Here’s to love, hope and all things beautiful with each other, from now until forever.” She added, “Sonakshi weds Zaheer. 23.06.2024.”

The civil marriage, registered under the Special Marriage Act, took place at her beautiful new home in Bandra West. After the ceremony, Shatrughan Sinha shared his joy with the media, saying, “Every father waits for this moment when his daughter is given to her chosen groom. My daughter looks most happy with Zaheer. Unki jodi salamat rahe (May their union stay strong forever).” He was there with wife Poonam, looking every bit the proud parents.

The guest list was tight but filled with close friends and family. Sonakshi’s BFF Huma Qureshi, her brother Saqib Saleem, Aditi Rao Hydari and her fiancé Siddharth, and Arpita Khan with Aayush Sharma were all there to celebrate the lovebirds.
