Virushka has welcomed a baby boy named ‘Akaay.’

The celebrity couple Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli have announced the arrival of their second child, it’s a baby boy! These days it’s a trend to chose a unique name, they have kept that trend, the celebrity couple also chose a unique name for their bundle of joy. They named their second child, ‘Akaay’.

Announcing the good news on Instagram, the couple has wrote, “With abundant happiness and our hearts all of love, we are pleased to inform everyone that on 15th February, we welcomed our baby boy Akaay & Vamika’s little brother into this world! We seek your blessings and good wishes in this beautiful time in our lives. We request you to kindly respect our privacy at this time. Love & Gratitude. Virat & Anushka.” Their firstborn daughter’s name is Vamika. Now we know the second one is named Akaay.

There’s a lot of talks are going around about the baby’s name. It’s true that the name ‘Akaay’ is very unique. If you try to find the meaning of this name the internet will show different meanings in different languages. Anushka and Virat are yet to announce the origin of the name. But here are some guesses that could be helpful for you. Akaay could be originated from the Hindi word ‘kaya’ which means body. But in Sanskrit language, the name Akaay means ‘immortal’ or something that doesn’t decay.  If the name is a Turkish-originated name, it could mean “Near a full moon or illuminating light of full moon or full moon”.

Virat and anushka welcomed their first child, babygirl ‘Vamika’ in January 2021. Vamika is another name of Hindu goddess Durga. Virat and Anushka never announced their 2nd pregnancy, they were tight-lipped about this pregnancy. But, it got mistakenly revealed by the former South Africa skipper AB de Villiers on his official YouTube channel. Although he later released another video, where he apologised for his “blunder”.
