Zareen Khan Wins Legal Battle, Arrest Warrant Cancelled in Cheating Case

Recently an arrest warrant was issued against Bollywood actress Zareen Khan by a Kolkata court. The warrant was issued due to an alleged cheating case dating back to 2018. The warrant had been initiated due to “fraudulent and misleading statements” made by the Investigating Officer.

What was the case against Zareen Khan?

Zareen Khan made her acting debut alongside Salman Khan in Veer. In 2018, she was said to perform at a Durga Puja event in Kolkata. Reports say that she failed to show up at the event and because of that the organisers filed an FIR against her. Back then, Khan was summoned by Kolkata Police for questioning. An FIR was registered against both for the same, and they were asked to appear for questioning. Zareen showed up for the questioning and she claimed that the organisers misguided her. The Veer actress also said that the organizers told her the function would be attended by ministers, including Bengal’s chief minister. But before the show, her team found out that the event was a small-scale event, in North Kolkata. Zareen had also said that there was a miscommunication over flight tickets and other accommodations, thus she had to skip the show. Zareen Khan also filed a case against the show’s organizers in a local court. Following the investigation, a chargesheet was also filed against her and her manager too. Her manager went to court and requested bail, the actor did not ask for bail or appear in court.

The arrest warrant got canceled!

However, after uncovering the “true and correct facts” of the matter, the Magistrate of Kolkata High Court issued a detailed Order, promptly canceling and recalling the warrant that had been issued against Zareen Khan. High Court of Kolkata has also weighed in on the matter, by passing an order that supports Zareen Khan’s position.
