According to media reports, Rohit Sharma will not be a part of the team in the ODI series against Sri Lanka (IND vs SL ODI Series) and someone else will be seen leading the team in his place.
According to a PTI report, Shubman Gill can be the captain of Team India in the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka. The name of KL Rahul is also coming up for the position. Let us tell you that India played its last ODI match against South Africa in December last year in which KL Rahul captained the team.
If we talk about Shubman Gill, he is called the future of India and recently he led Team India in the T20 series against Zimbabwe. India won this series 4-1. Shubman had also finished the series as the highest run-scorer. The report further stated that Gill is also in contention to lead the ODI side.
