Australia has announced its 15-man squad for the five-match T20 series against India starting on November 23. The special thing is that 8 players who are currently part of the ICC World Cup team have got a place in the Australian team for the series against India.
Australia announced its team on Saturday (28 October) and made wicketkeeper-batsman Matthew Wade the captain of the team. Apart from this, star players like David Warner, Steve Smith, Travis Head, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, and Adam Zampa are also included in this team.
Josh Inglis and Sean Abbott, who were included in the World Cup squad, and traveling reserve Tanveer Sangha will also remain in India for the T20 series. IPL stars Tim David, Matt Short, and Nathan Ellis will join the Australian team after the end of the World Cup.
Meanwhile, ODI team captain Pat Cummins will return home after the World Cup and prepare for Australia’s home Test series against Pakistan and West Indies. Apart from Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Marsh, and Cameron Green will also return to Australia after the World Cup and will not be part of the T20 series against India.
