The Asia Cup is going to start on 30th August. The first match will be played between hosts Pakistan and Nepal in Multan. A total of 4 matches including the opening match will be played in Pakistan, other matches will be in Sri Lanka. The Pakistan Cricket Board had sent invitations to all the key officials of the Indian Cricket Board to visit Pakistan for the Asia Cup. Chairman Roger Binny and Vice Chairman Rajeev Shukla have accepted it.
BCCI President Roger Binny and Vice President Rajeev Shukla have accepted PCB’s invitation. According to the news, he will also watch the matches to be held in Pakistan. PTI quoted a source as saying in its report that BCCI President, Vice President, and Secretary Jay Shah will be present at the stadium for the India-Pakistan match on September 2. After this Binny and Rajeev will go to Pakistan.
PTI quoted a source as saying, “Roger Binny, Rajeev Shukla, and secretary Jai Shah will visit Kandy on September 2 to watch the India vs Pakistan match. The next day on August 3, all will return to India. Then Roger Binny and Rajeev Shukla will go to Pakistan via the Wagah border. He will go to Lahore.”
On September 4, the PCB Governor’s House organized an official dinner, to which Roger Binny and Rajeev Shukla were invited along with their wives. It is possible that Binny and Shukla will stay back in Pakistan to watch the Afghanistan vs Sri Lanka match on September 5 and then the first match of Pakistan’s Super 4 and will not attend any official meeting.
Team India will play all its matches in Sri Lanka. The final match of the Asia Cup will be played on September 17 in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The team that has won the most titles in Asia Cup history is India, who have won a total of 7 titles in ODI and T20 formats.
