The Cricket World Cup 2023 is quite crowded. One incident after another is happening in this World Cup. For now, the big update is out for the Indian fans. According to sources, Hardik Pandya has left the group stage of this year’s World Cup. Rohit Sharma’s team India is at the top of the points table after winning six matches in a row. Team India beat England by 100 runs yesterday to reach the top of the points table and clear the way for the semi-finals. However, the Indian team is not getting their experienced all-rounder Hardik Pandya from the Bangladesh match.
Although BCCI has not submitted any certificate regarding Hardik Pandya’s injury, according to sources, Hardik Pandya will not be able to play a single match in the group stage. Hardik Pandya has been rested following the advice of the BCCI medical team, Team India has maintained a good performance against relatively tough opponents and will play against Sri Lanka, South Africa, and the Netherlands for the remaining 3 matches.
However, after winning 6 matches, India’s semi-final ticket is virtually sealed. So the team management does not want to take any pressure to play Hardik at the group level. The Indian team player is currently undergoing treatment at the NCA. According to sources, Hardik Pandya will be seen playing directly in the semi-finals.
Incidentally, Hardik Pandya was injured while bowling in the Bangladesh match on October 19. Hardik got injured after just three balls, after which he was not seen bowling again. The Indian team is in good form and the Indian team is at the top of the points table beating Australia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, New Zealand, and England.
However, the team faces the challenge of the semi-finals where Hardik Pandya will be much needed. Although Hardik was supposed to return for the South Africa match, the management has told the team’s veteran player to rest.
