Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has returned to India from Sri Lanka. Due to this, he will not play in the India vs Nepal match. India’s second match in the Asia Cup is to be played with Nepal on Monday i.e. September 4 in Kandy, Sri Lanka.
According to a report in Dainik Jagran, Jasprit Bumrah has left for Mumbai from Sri Lanka. However, the reason for his return home is not related to fitness. Fast bowlers are coming back for their personal reasons. Due to this, he will be out of the match against Nepal. Bumrah returned to competitive cricket only after completing his rehabilitation in ACA after getting injured.
This is his first major tournament after Bumrah’s comeback. Due to Bumrah’s return home, the Indian team will have to resort to another pace bowler. However, as per the information, Bumrah will rejoin the team for the Super-4 stage matches. The matches of the Super-4 stage of the Asia Cup will start on 6th September.
Indian bowlers did not get a chance to perform in the India vs Pakistan match played at Pallekele Stadium, Kandy. Due to rain, the match had to be canceled after the Indian innings. In such a situation, Jasprit Bumrah did not bowl a single ball in this match. However, he also performed brilliantly with the bat. Despite being a bowler, Bumrah scored 16 runs in 14 balls. In this inning, Jaspreet hit three fours against the Pakistani pace attack.
