Cricket Canada has announced its 15-member squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup. Canada will participate in the T20 World Cup for the first time. Canada’s captaincy has been handed over to all-rounder Saad Bin Zafar. The Canadian team has a mix of talented cricketers who have performed well in the season. Canada hopes that its team will be successful in giving tough competition to its opponents at the global level. Apart from captain Saad, Canada has players like batsman Aaron Johnson and fast bowler Khalim Sana, who are expected to play important roles.
Canada has got a place in Group B for the T20 World Cup 2024. The Canadian team will begin its campaign in the upcoming T20 World Cup on June 1 against the United States in Dallas. Canada will participate in the T20 World Cup for the first time and will try to surprise the big teams with a memorable performance.
Despite depth in the Canada squad, Nikhil Dutta and Srimanth Vijayaratne were not included. Tajinder Singh has been kept as a reserve player. However, the road will not be easy for Canada in the T20 World Cup, where it will have to face the two superpowers of Asia, India and Pakistan.
