CSK vs RCB: Chennai Super Kings beat RCB by 6 wickets, won the first match of the season !!

The first match of IPL 2024 was played between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore. The history of the match between the two teams has always been tilted in favor of Chennai Super Kings but at Chepauk Stadium it is especially against Bengaluru, where this team has got only 1 win, that too in the first season of 2008. Whereas CSK won the match by scoring 176 runs losing 4 wickets in 18.4 overs.

Mustafizur Rahman had a big contribution to Chennai’s victory. Rahman took 4 wickets for 29 runs. After this, Rachin Ravindra scored 37 runs, Shivam Dubey scored 34 not out, Rahane scored 27 runs and Jadeja scored 25 not out and the team easily reached the target.

Royal Challengers Bangalore’s performance

The big batsmen of RCB did not perform well but despite this, the team reached 173 runs in 20 overs. RCB wicketkeeper Anuj Rawat played a brilliant inning of 48 runs in 26 balls. Dinesh Karthik also scored an unbeaten 38 runs. Both the players made a partnership of 95 runs and took the team to a strong score. Earlier, Du Plessis played an inning of 35 runs but Virat Kohli was out after scoring 21 runs. Maxwell could not open the account and Green scored only 18 runs. Even Patidars could not open an account.
