DC vs SRH IPL 2024 35th Match: Hyderabad beat Delhi by 67 runs!

In the 35th match of IPL 2024, Sunrisers Hyderabad has defeated Delhi Capitals by 67 runs. Hyderabad had scored 266 runs after playing first. In reply, Delhi had at one time scored 131 runs in 8 overs, but even after this the team could score only 199 runs. For Hyderabad, Travis Head scored 89, Abhishek Sharma scored 46 and Shahbaz Ahmed scored 59 not out. Then in bowling T Natarajan took 4 wickets. Today again Pat Cummins made his team win the match with his brilliant captaincy.

Match report

Delhi had a bad start while chasing the target of 267 runs. The team lost the wickets of openers David Warner (1) and Prithvi Shaw (16) within two overs. Fraser played a quick inning of 65 runs in 18 balls. Markande got him caught out. Abhishek Paurel was out after scoring 42 runs in 22 balls. Tristan Stubbs could score only 10 runs. Lalit Yadav scored 7, Akshar Patel scored 6, Enrique Narkhia and Kuldeep Yadav were out without opening the account. Captain Rishabh Pant scored 44 runs in 35 balls. Natarajan took four wickets for Hyderabad.

In the ongoing season itself, Hyderabad team has made the highest score (287/3) in the history of IPL. Even against Delhi Capitals, the opening batsman of Sunrisers Hyderabad gave a good start. There was a partnership of 131 runs for the first wicket between Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma. However, after this the team lost wickets in consecutive overs, due to which the team failed to touch the figure of 300.
