Team India faced the challenge of the Netherlands in the last league match of the World Cup. Rohit Sharma’s team defeated the Dutch by 160 runs in that match at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The final match of the ongoing tournament will be held on November 19 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Dua Lipa will perform at the World Cup 2023 Final
It is believed that the famous Albanian Hollywood actress Dua Lipa will be seen performing at the closing ceremony of the World Cup. There were hints during the India-Netherlands match that Dua Lipa might be seen performing at the World Cup closing ceremony.
It is heard that the BCCI is looking at organizing a big event at the end of the World Cup. Big Bollywood stars can be seen on this stage before the final match. Arijit Singh Tamannaah Bhatia’s name is on that list. On the other hand, currently, Dua Lipa was spotted promoting one of her songs with Star Sports. Ahead of the India-Netherlands match, Dua Lipa was seen asking questions about KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, and Kane Williamson in the Star Sports segment.
He also stated that Indian captain Rohit Sharma is his favorite cricketer. However, Dua Lipa admitted that she is not very interested in cricket. He likes to watch cricket sometimes.
Former World Cup-Winning Captain Also in Attendance
According to sources, BCCI is thinking big before the final match. It is heard that the captain of every champion team of the Cricket World Cup will be seen in that event. In that case, Clive Lloyd, Kapil Dev, Allon Border, Imran Khan, Arjuna Ranatunga, Steve Waugh, Ricky Ponting, MS Dhoni, Michael Clarke and Eoin Morgan will be seen on the same stage. It is currently unclear whether Dua Lipa will perform at the World Cup finale.
So far neither BCCI nor ICC has officially announced anything. However, speculations are rife on social media that Dua Lipa will be seen performing at the World Cup closing ceremony. Note that the World Cup started on October 5. At the same time, the final of this tournament will be held on November 19 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
