An FIR has been lodged against the manager of restaurant One8 Commune. The restaurant co-owned by cricket star Virat Kohli and four other establishments have been accused of allegedly operating restaurants beyond the stipulated hours, police said on Tuesday.
Pubs operating beyond the scheduled time of 1 am
A special drive was launched on July 6 after complaints were received that several restaurants and pubs in central Bengaluru were operating beyond the stipulated time of 1 am, he said. According to the police, when a sub-inspector from Cubbon Park police station, who was on patrolling duty, reached One8 Commune at around 1.20 am, he found that the manager was allegedly still operating the pub.
“After we received complaints that some pubs and hotels were operating beyond permitted hours, a special operation was launched on the night of July 6,” a police officer said. “Based on the violations found, we have filed an FIR under the Karnataka Police Act for violations at the Cubbon Park police station against the manager of One8 Commune and four other establishments,” he said.
