Gabba Test Ends in a Draw After Thrilling Day 5, India Misses Winning Chance

The third match of the Border Gavaskar series played between India and Australia at Gabba has ended in a draw. Although there was hope of a result in the match on the 5th day, rain again disrupted it and the game was declared a draw. Let us tell you that India had a target of 275 in 54 overs in the fourth innings to win this match. By the time the rain came, India had scored 8 runs without losing a wicket. After a long wait, when the rain did not stop, the umpires declared the match a draw.

The bowlers had made a comeback.

This test, which was going to be a draw till the fourth day, became very exciting on the 5th day and the hope of a result increased. Both the teams went for the result. In the second innings, Australia went to score fast runs but lost 7 wickets for 89 in front of the stormy trio of Jasprit Bumrah, Akash Deep, and Siraj. Pat Cummins declared the innings at this score. The bowlers again gave India a chance to make a comeback in this match.

India got a target of 275

Australia declared the second innings after scoring 89 runs for 7 wickets and gave India a target of 275 runs in 54 overs to win. Let us tell you that Australia got a lead of 185 runs in the first innings. India had scored 8 runs without losing any wickets and then it rained after which the match was declared a draw.

Australia batted first and scored 445 runs. Travis Head scored 152 and Steve Smith scored 101 runs. Bumrah took 6 wickets. India’s first innings were restrictewereo 260 runs based on KL Rahul’s 84, Ravindra Jadeja’s 77, and Akashdee,p’s 31 runs. Australia got a lead of 185 runs based on the first innings. In the second innings, Australia lost 7 wickets for 89 runs. India had scored 8 runs without losing any wickets andticketss were rained and after this, the match was declared a draw.
