GT vs CSK 59th match: Gujarat still in the race of playoffs with today’s win against Chennai!

In the 59th match of IPL 2024, Gujarat Titans defeated Chennai Super Kings by 35 runs at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. With the help of fast bowler Mohit Sharma’s three wickets, Gujarat Titans defeated Chennai Super Kings by 35 runs and kept themselves in the race for the playoffs. Batting first, Gujarat scored 231 runs for three wickets in 20 overs with centuries from Shubhman Gill and Sai Sudarshan. In reply, Gujarat’s bowlers performed brilliantly due to which Chennai team could score only 196 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs.

For Chennai, Daryl Mitchell scored 63 runs and Moeen Ali scored 56 runs. There was a partnership of 109 runs for the fourth wicket between these two batsmen.But after Mitchell’s dismissal, Chennai’s innings once again faltered and could not recover.Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who landed at number eight, returned unbeaten after scoring 26 runs in 11 balls with the help of one four and three sixes. Despite the defeat, Chennai team is at fourth position in the table after 12 matches with 12 points with six wins and six losses. Gujarat team is in eighth place with 10 points from 12 matches with five wins and seven losses.
