Guilt-Stricken Ravindra Jadeja Apologizes to Sarfaraz Khan on Instagram !!

Sarfaraz Khan, who was playing after scoring a half-century in the ongoing match against England in Rajkot, was unfortunately run out. The reason behind this was the wrong call taken by Ravindra Jadeja for taking a run. Now, after the match, Jadeja has also accepted the mistake and expressed grief over this runout.

“That was my wrong call”, Jadeja went social after the IND VS ENG match

Ravindra Jadeja was playing on 99 runs at the crease at that time and was looking for just one run for his century. After hitting the ball, Jadeja asked Sarfaraz, who was standing at the non-striker’s end, to run and suddenly he refused. But by then Sarfaraz, who was playing his debut match, had gone far away from the crease. Meanwhile, Mark Wood’s excellent direct throw ran out Khan and he returned to the pavilion.

Jadeja shared a story for Sarfaraz Khan from his Instagram handle, which quoted, “Feeling bad for Sarfaraz Khan, that was my wrong call. Play well.”

In this inning, Sarfaraz scored 62 runs in 66 balls. However, given the aggressive manner in which he was playing, everyone expected more runs from him. On the other hand, Ravindra Jadeja stayed till the end of the day’s play and returned unbeaten after scoring 110 runs.

However, while talking in the press conference after the match, Sarfaraz Khan also called this run out as a part of the game. Sarfaraz said, “He (Jadeja) told me ‘There was a little miscommunication’ and I said it’s okay, it happens, it’s no big deal.”
