The veteran off-spinner of the Indian team has vented his anger on former Pakistan captain Inzamam Ul Haq. An old video of Inzamam Ul Haq went viral on social media. In this, Inzamam claimed that Harbhajan Singh was going to convert to Islam.
Bhajji on his official X (formerly Twitter) account refuted the story and said he was proud of his nationality and religious identity. Responding to Inzamam Ul Haq’s video, Bhajji wrote, “What kind of drug is he talking under the influence of?” I am proud to be an Indian and a Sikh. These nonsense people say anything.
In the video which is going viral, Inzamam Ul Haq said that Harbhajan Singh was one of those Indian cricketers who used to attend the sermons of Maulana Tariq Jameel. Jameel was also known for offering namaz with the Pakistan cricket team. The former captain said that during a tour, he invited Irfan Pathan, Zaheer Khan, and Mohammad Kaif to join the prayer session and Harbhajan Singh also participated in it.
Inzamam Ul Haq also said that Harbhajan Singh was greatly influenced by the preaching of Tariq Jameel and showed his intention to convert to Islam.
Inzamam Ul Haq said, “We had a room where we used to offer namaz. Maulana Tariq Jameel used to come in the evening and make us offer namaz. After a few days, Irfan Pathan, Mohammad Kaif, and Zaheer Khan joined. Four other Indian cricketers He was sitting and watching us. Harbhajan did not know that Tariq Jameel was a Maulana so he said I am very impressed with this man. My heart wants to believe his words, but I am holding back because of you because your lifestyle is not like that. “
Inzamam claimed that Muslims themselves are not following the path of the Quran which somehow prevents non-Muslims from converting to Islam. Please note that it went viral in September last year. However, currently, this video is spreading on social media because some people are accusing Pakistani cricketers of asking people to accept Islam.
It is noteworthy that the dressing room of the Pakistani team has always been infamous for conversion jihad. Once Inzamam had told how he, along with former batsman Mohammad Yusuf, had given a ‘feast of honor’ to the great West Indies batsman Brian Lara.
