Cricket World Cup 2023 has gathered. Last October 2nd, Team India faced Sri Lanka, defeated Sri Lanka by 302 runs, and became the first team to qualify for the World Cup. But bad news for the Indian team, Hardik Pandya failed to recover at the right time. Indian team co-captain Hardik Pandya got injured while bowling against Bangladesh. According to sources, Hardik Pandya was supposed to make a comeback in the team against the Netherlands. Still, as luck would have it, injury has a bad association with the Indian team.
Shikhar Dhawan in 2019, Jaspreet Bumrah in 2020, and Hardik Pandya got the nod in the 2023 World Cup. India’s worries increased manifold before the World Cup semi-finals. Without Hardik, India won all four matches of the group stage, and the balance of the team was getting disturbed.
Suryakumar Yadav is given a chance in place of Hardik, but despite batting well, the team faces the problem of a sixth bowler. Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma can be seen as the sixth batsmen. The Indian team is going to miss Hardik’s performance and experience in the semi-finals.
Prasidh Krishna got a chance in the Indian team as Hardik’s replacement. Although Prasidh was in the Asia Cup squad, he was not given a chance in the 15-man squad for the World Cup. Now Hardik was seen slipping away from the pacemaker Prasidh to get a chance in the team.
