The format of T20 World Cup 2024 will be like this

The upcoming T20 World Cup is to be played in the West Indies and USA from June 1 to June 29. The 20-team tournament will be played in three stages including total knockout. All 20 teams will be divided into four groups of 5 each. The top 2 teams of each group will enter the Super-8. After this, all 8 teams will be divided into two groups of 4-4. In the Super-8 stage, the top two teams of both groups will enter the semi-finals. Two teams will make it to the finals through two semi-final matches.

The top two teams of all groups will qualify for the Super 8. In Super 8, all the teams will be divided into two groups of four each. The top two teams of both groups will qualify for the semi-finals. After this, the final match will be played between the winners of the semi-finals on June 29.
