The ICC has shared big information on the matter of Champions Trophy 2025. It has been said that this tournament will be held under the hybrid model. Team India will play all its matches at neutral venues. However, the ICC has not yet released the schedule of the Champions Trophy. The Board of Control for Cricket in India had refused to send Team India to Pakistan for the tournament. Therefore, accepting the BCCI’s point, the ICC has approved the hybrid model. Along with this, the ICC has also given good news to Pakistan.
The ICC has shared information on its website regarding the Champions Trophy. The ICC said that the matches of India and Pakistan will be held with the hybrid model in the cycle from 2024 to 2027. Both these teams will play their matches at neutral venues. This rule will apply to the upcoming ICC tournaments. Now the ICC will soon share the schedule of Champions Trophy 2025. The tournament is to be held in February and March next year.
The ICC has said that along with the Champions Trophy, other tournaments will be held with a hybrid model. The Women’s World Cup 2025 will also be held with this model. It is to be organized in India. Therefore, the Pakistan cricket team will no longer come to India to play. The Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 is to be organized in India and Sri Lanka. This tournament is also to be held with a hybrid model.
The ICC has given good news to the Pakistan Cricket Board. It has been decided that the Women’s T20 World Cup 2028 will be organized in Pakistan. But this tournament will also be held with a hybrid model. Team India will not play its matches in Pakistan. Pakistan has been given hosting rights.
