Besides this, Virat Kohli remains unbeaten with 55 runs off 56 balls. He hit a four off the last ball of the 35th over to give Team India victory. It was Virat’s 68th ODI half-century in his career. It was also his second consecutive half-century in the current World Cup. Virat scored 85 runs in the last match against Australia.
Indian captain Rohit Sharma scored a century off 63 balls. He scored the fastest century for India in ODI World Cup. Rohit broke the record of great captain Kapil Dev in this regard. Kapil Dev scored a century against Zimbabwe in the 1983 World Cup off just 72 balls. It was Rohit’s 31st ODI century. Also, he is the batsman with the most centuries in the World Cup. He has seven centuries to his name in this tournament. In this case, he has left the legendary Sachin Tendulkar behind.
