Australia won the toss and batted first and scored 357 runs at the loss of 7 wickets. In which all four top-order batsmen of Australia scored half-centuries. Opener Mitchell Marsh scored 96 runs in 84 balls. However, he missed his century. Marsh scored 18 runs in five balls off Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah. At the same time, the second opener David Warner played an inning of 54 runs in 34 balls. Even after this, the caravan of runs from Australia did not stop.

Steve Smith scored 74 runs in 61 balls and Marnus Labuschagne scored 72 runs in 58 balls. For India, Jasprit Bumrah took three wickets, but he also proved to be the most expensive bowler. Bumrah gave away 81 runs in his 10-over spell. Kuldeep Yadav took two wickets for 48 runs in 6 overs. While Mohammad Siraj and Prasidh Krishna got 1-1 wicket.

Captain Rohit Sharma gave a good start to India. Rohit lashed out at Australia’s fast bowlers and hit a flurry of fours and sixes. In this innings, he scored 81 runs in 57 balls with the help of 5 fours and 6 sixes. At the same time, Virat Kohli played an inning of 56 runs in 61 balls with the help of 5 fours and 1 six.

India also made a surprising decision in this match. All-rounder Washington Sundar was fielded to open with Rohit Sharma. He proved unsuccessful in this sequence and could score only 18 runs in 30 balls. Apart from this, Shreyas Iyer once again proved himself in the middle order and scored 48 runs. Ravindra Jadeja scored 35 runs. Whereas the rest of the batsmen could not perform anything special. The Indian team collapsed for 286 runs in 49.4 overs.

Australian all-rounder and spin bowler Glenn Maxwell took four important wickets for India. He caught captain Rohit Sharma out while bowling. Maxwell took a brilliant catch from Rohit. The bowler gave away only 41 runs in the spell of 10 overs. Apart from this, fast bowler Josh Hazlewood took two wickets for 42 runs. The rest of Australia’s bowlers Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, Cameron Green, and Tanveer Sangha took 1 wicket each.

Even though India lost the last match. But they won the series by a margin of 2-1. In the presentation after the match, while receiving the trophy, captain Rohit Sharma called wicket-keeper batsman KL Rahul and handed over the trophy to him. After this, captain Rohit Sharma is also being appreciated a lot on social media.
