IND vs SL: India defeated Sri Lanka by 41 runs in a thrilling match, entered the final

The Indian team beat Sri Lanka by 41 runs in the Super 4 round of the Asia Cup. Through this, Team India reached the final of the 2023 Asia Cup. Batting first, India scored 213 runs in 49.1 overs. In reply, Sri Lanka were bowled out for 172 runs in 41.3 overs. Captain Rohit Sharma scored a maximum of 53 runs for India. Rahul contributed 39 runs and Kishan 33 runs. For Sri Lanka, Dunith Vellaleghe took 5 wickets and Charith Asalanka took 4 wickets. Dunith Vellaleghe scored the highest score of 42* in Sri Lanka’s innings. Dhananjay de Silva contributed 41 runs. Kuldeep Yadav took four wickets for India. Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja took two wickets each.

Team India failed to make big runs

India won the toss and decided to bat first. Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill started well for India with the bat. However, as soon as these two were out, India lost their way and was eventually bowled out for 213 runs. Rohit Sharma’s team bowed before Sri Lanka’s spin. Dunith Velalge took 5 wickets for Lanka. However, India’s first wicket fell by 80 runs on Tuesday. Shubman Gill was dismissed for 19 runs off 25 balls. He was clean bowled by Dunith Village. Then Virat Kohli came to the crease with Rohit Sharma. Rohit Sharma completed his half-century off 44 balls. This is his 51st half-century in ODI cricket.

Sri Lanka were bowled out for 172 runs

However, Virat could not stay at the crease for long on this day. Virat Kohli was dismissed for three runs off 12 balls. He caught Dasun Shanaka off that ball. Then Rohit Sharma was dismissed for 53 runs. KL Rahul scored 39. Although Ishan Kishan put up some fight, no other batsman could do much for India after that. As a result, after making 356 against Pakistan on Monday, India’s strong batting ended with 213 the next day. In reply, Sri Lanka started to bat from the start and were eventually bowled out for 172 runs.
