India Likely to Face Pakistan on February 23 in Champions Trophy 2025 at Dubai or Colombo

Questions are constantly arising in the mind of every cricket lover about when India and Pakistan will face each other in the Champions Trophy. The Pakistan Cricket Board is now ready to organize the Champions Trophy 2025 under the hybrid model. In such a situation, the biggest curiosity in the minds of cricket lovers is when will the match between India and Pakistan take place and where will it be played.

Because both countries are not ready to play matches in each other’s hosting, the match between the two will be held at a neutral venue. It is being claimed in media reports that the match between India and Pakistan will be held on 23 February. This match is to be played in either Colombo or Dubai. However, it has not been confirmed yet where it will be played?

It has been claimed in media reports that the match between the two traditional rivals will be played in Colombo or Dubai. However, neither the ICC nor the PCB has said anything about this yet. Both will soon decide on this together. Recently, the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has got approval to play under the hybrid model. This tournament will be played in two Asian countries, most of which are to be held in Pakistan while India’s matches will be played in Colombo or UAE. On the other hand, if India manages to make it to the semi-finals or finals, then all its matches will be played in UAE or Colombo.

India defeated Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2024

This will be the first time since the T20 World Cup 2024 on 23 February 2025 in the Champions Trophy that the two traditional rivals will face each other. Earlier during the T20 World Cup, the India-Pakistan match was held at Nassau County Cricket Ground in New York. India won this match. Let us tell you that the schedule of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is going to be announced soon. The ICC has recently confirmed that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will announce the schedule soon. Earlier, a few days ago, PCB announced a draft schedule for the match with India in the ICC Champions Trophy, in which the India vs Pakistan match was scheduled to be played on March 3.

The Champions Trophy was won under the leadership of MS Dhoni.

Earlier in the year 2017, the final match of the ICC Champions Trophy was played between India and Pakistan. In this match, Team India entered the field under the captaincy of Virat Kohli and Team India had to face defeat at the hands of Pakistan and Pakistan captured the title. Then this tournament was played in England. India last won the title of ICC Champions Trophy tournament in 2013 under the captaincy of MS Dhoni. Now under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, Team India is looking to repeat that performance once again. If Team India is successful in winning this title under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, then this will be the second time for India when Team India has won the ICC Champions Trophy.
