Rahul was dismissed after scoring 31 and Akshar after scoring 33 runs.

Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bat first against India. However, this decision did not prove to be anything special for Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka got the first blow in the third over itself. Mohammad Siraj gave India the first success in his second over. There was a partnership of 39 runs for the second wicket between Nissanka and Mendis.
