Inzamam Ul Haq has resigned as PCB Chief Selector

Former Pakistan cricketer Inzamam Ul Haq has resigned as the team’s chief selector following the poor performance of the Pakistan team in the Cricket World Cup 2023. Inzamam-ul-Haq is also facing investigation due to his relationship with player agent Talha Rahmani’s company Yazo International Limited. It represents many famous Pakistani cricketers including Rahmani, Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi. It has become a matter of conflict of interest.

The question has been raised, according to Inzamam, Rahmani may have a hand in the election of Pakistan’s party. Especially, in the past few days, where the controversy surrounding the annual contracts of the cricketers with the Pakistan Board has been heated, there has been an uproar as soon as this news came to light.

According to the report, if the Pakistan Cricket Board removes Inzamam before his tenure, they will have to pay the former cricketer a hefty sum of money. According to the contract the board signed with Inzamam, if the PCB decides to terminate his tenure prematurely, they will have to pay a huge amount of compensation to Inzamam.

According to the Pakistan Board, a five-member fact-finding committee has been formed to find out whether Rahmani has any hand in selecting the World Cup team. They will investigate the matter in the coming days and inform the board.
